How to Make Pancakes: Healthy Apple Honey Pancake Recipe
This Pancake Recipe makes 3-4 medium-sized pancakes.
Dry Ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 1 teaspoon of grated nutmeg.
- 1 cup of flour.
- 2 1/2 tablespoon sugar.
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 egg.
- 1 cup of milk.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
- 2 tablespoons melted butter.
For Toppings:
- 1/4 Apple
- 1-2 Tablespoons of Honey.
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients
- Add the flour, salt, sugar and mix properly.
- Whisk the egg.
- Add the remaining wet ingredients: pour the milk, vanilla essence, and melted butter into the beaten egg.
- Gradually our the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix properly.
Cooking Instructions:
- In a frying pan, lightly add cooking oil to the pan and allow to heat for about 1-2 minutes (this depends on the heat level of the stove/cooker).
- Pour the pancake batter into the pan using a cooking spoon.
- Before you turn/flip the pancake to the next side, ensure you check for bubbles.
- Once the bubbles are visible and the sides are cooked, turn/flip the pancake and allow for the other side to cook. Do this for the remaining batter.
- Allow the pancakes to cool.
For Toppings:
- Dice the apple.
- Place diced apples on the pancakes
- Add honey to the apple.
Serve with tea and enjoy.
