How to Make Pancakes: Healthy Apple Honey Pancake Recipe

 This Pancake Recipe makes 3-4 medium-sized pancakes.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 teaspoon of grated nutmeg.
  • 1 cup of flour.
  • 2 1/2 tablespoon sugar.

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 egg.
  • 1 cup of milk.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter.

For Toppings: 

  • 1/4 Apple 
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of Honey.




Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients
  • Add the flour, salt, sugar and mix properly.
  • Whisk the egg.
  • Add the remaining wet ingredients: pour the milk, vanilla essence, and melted butter into the beaten egg. 
  • Gradually our the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix properly.

Cooking Instructions:

  • In a frying pan, lightly add cooking oil to the pan and allow to heat for about 1-2 minutes (this depends on the heat level of the stove/cooker).
  • Pour the pancake batter into the pan using a cooking spoon. 
  • Before you turn/flip the pancake to the next side, ensure you check for bubbles. 
  • Once the bubbles are visible and the sides are cooked, turn/flip the pancake and allow for the other side to cook. Do this for the remaining batter. 
  • Allow the pancakes to cool.

For Toppings: 

  • Dice the apple.
  • Place diced apples on the pancakes 
  • Add honey to the apple. 

Serve with tea and enjoy.
